Summer Vacation 2024
Instead of commercial TV spots with big crews and decent production values, here’s something completely different…
I grew up on Florida’s East Coast. Every year, I fly down to the “Sunshine State” and spend time with my brother Gary. We do a lot of non-exciting things for a week or so. I then return to Pittsburgh.
I took my little DJI OSMO Pocket 3 camera with me to record a video remembrance. This segment is our boat trip with Gary’s daughter.
The video has no high-energy excitement or compelling visuals. Many might say it’s boring, but I enjoy spending time with Gary, especially since we’re both getting older.
TECH STUFF… For spontaneous filmmaking, you simply can’t beat DJI’s “Pocket 3”. ...

Eat'n Park TV Commercials... 1990 to 2015
Просмотров 1,9 тыс.9 месяцев назад
Just about every Saturday morning, my wife, Carol & I have breakfast at Eat’n Park. The restaurant is part of a chain of 57 restaurants in PA, OH & WV. They’re such a Pittsburgh tradition, that Eat’n Park virtually has “Historic Landmark” status. For 25 years, I directed and photographed almost every Eat’nPark TV campaign. During that time, Cliff Miller was the driving force behind Eat’n Park’s...
Remembering Our Brother David
Просмотров 115Год назад
On July 3rd, 2023 my brother David passed away in a Florida hospital. David was 68 years old and severely mentally challenged since birth. After dad, then mom passed in 2003 & 2005, my youngest brother, Gary Przyborski stepped up and assumed the role of David’s caretaker. Without Gary, David would have never made it to age 68. Gary made sure he received good medical care, food and a welcoming g...
2022 Commercial Showreel
Просмотров 1762 года назад
It has been shown that ad agency folks no longer have the time or interest to screen a director’s sample reel with 10-12 complete commercials. Today’s trend is to edit a video of short scenes from selected projects. This type of reel is sometimes called a “sizzle reel” and it should to be less than 4 minutes long. This video features lots of scenes from lots of TV spots. From scripted dialogue ...
George Michael WRC-TV 1990 Promo
Просмотров 9622 года назад
In December, 1990, I directed and photographed a fun promotion for WRC-TV in Washington, DC. The 35mm promotion featured George Michael, WRC’s sports director and star of the syndicated “George Michael Sports Machine” which originated Sunday nights from WRC’s studios. WRC’s Rita Poore produced the commercial & Arthur Greenwald created the concept. Telezign handled the post-production and graphi...
Idlewild Park 1993 TV Campaign

Idlewild Park is a traditional, children’s amusement park located about an hour east of Pittsburgh, near Ligonier, Pennsylvania. It’s the state’s oldest amusement park. Today the park is owned by Palace Entertainment, but in 1993 it was owned by Kennywood Park. In 1993, I directed and photographed this TV commercial for the park’s advertising agency, The St. George Group. The ad’s basic concept...
Hersheypark Sounds Like Fun 1988 TV Commercial
Просмотров 2,1 тыс.2 года назад
In the late summer of ’87, I directed, photographed & edited Herseypark’s “Sounds Like Fun” TV ad campaign which promoted the 1988 park season. Since northern amusement parks are closed half the year, commercials for the upcoming summer season are usually filmed before the park closes the previous season. Shooting at Hersheypark was always fun for me and our Pittsburgh & Harrisburg based crew. ...
In Memoriam Arthur Greenwald

It’s inevitable, as you get older, you start losing friends… Arthur Greenwald passed away Friday, April 30th. In the mid-eighties, Art was the creative services director of KDKA-TV, the CBS affiliate in Pittsburgh. Back then TV was everything…there was no internet, no social media, no X-Box, no iPhones. As a creative services director, it was Art’s job to promote the station and its on-air tale...
2021 Healthcare Reel
Просмотров 2463 года назад
Every year I direct and photograph healthcare TV campaigns. We work with all types of ad agencies as well as medical centers and other clients who internally handle their own creative marketing. All these spots were photographed digitally. Most originated in 4K or UHD. Some were photographed on RED, most were shot on Sony A7S2, Fuji X-T3 / X-T4 and Panasonic GH5S cameras. We adjust the size of ...

January 2021 marks 20 years since The National Geographic Channel began cable & satellite programming to millions of homes across North America. From 2000 to 2002, Przyborski Productions filmed many of the network’s major on-air promotions. Working with Lorraine Snebold, Senior VP of Brand Management / Creative, Glenn Przyborski directed and photographed dozens of Nat Geo’s promos & program ele...
TV Spot Production During the 2020 Pandemic
Просмотров 1423 года назад
2020 will go down as the worst year on record for filmmaking. Our governor declared that TV and film production was not an essential business in Pennsylvania. Przyborski Productions was literally shut down for months. Our first project during the ongoing pandemic was an orthopedic campaign for Excela Health. Production is different during COVID-19. Every morning, each crew member’s temperature ...
2020 Commercial Showreel 1080P

This video is a mix of varied concepts, directorial styles and production techniques. This is a “General Reel” since it’s a series of 30 second looks at the typical commercials we’re asked to produce. Some of the spots are new, others were produced over the past several years. All these ads are actual on-air commercials created for ad agencies and clients from across the country. For Przyborski...

Fast-rewind 30 years to December, 1989… Here’s a nostalgic look at KDKA-TV’s, Christmas news promos. Back then, most TV stations promoted and showcased their on-air talent. Today, stations are more likely to promote that night’s news stories. In 1988, KDKA’s creative services director, Arthur Greenwald and I shot the “sleigh riding through the woods” scenes which became the station’s 1988 Chris...

Stanley Steemer "That's Gross" Campaign
Whaaaaat! After knowing Palisades for decades, this is my first time hearing this. Oh my god. Beautiful
Did Gari Communications produced these music tracks for these bumpers and promos of the National Geographic Channel during the year 2000?
I only know this from the Nirvana VHS, Live Tonight Sold Out, where they make fun of corporate music like this.

The original song by Freddy Cannon was for Palisades Amusement Park ! In Cliffside Park, 🍭 👌🫶✌️🇺🇸👍Fort Lee, N.J.
It's a great comfort to know that the guys that shot these commercials are still around. These short-form works of art were half the joy of watching television, especially the good ones!
I'm glad you're getting these much deserved vacations. I'm still just thrilled to know that you're still operating after all these years. Hope for many more great commercials!
Thanks so much for the kind thoughts... Still directing and photographing TV spots at 75!
Totally enjoyed this! Many, many thanks!
300th like
I remember this like it was yesterday ❤
Freddie "Boom Boom" Cannon was born on December 4, 1936. He celebrated his 87th birthday on December 4, 2023 (Palisades Park was released in July 1962 and reached #3 on Billboard Hot 100 charts. It was his biggest hit).
These Are The Best Commercials I've Seen When I Was Little. I Thought It Was A School Bus And I Tried To Get In In It And I Was Like, "NOOOOO! Don't Go Away!"
I own two copies of this masterpiece record!
I Love These Commercials. The 2017 Logo Is Way Better Than The 2008 Logo. But The 2008 Logo Was Scary.
This is really cool, thanks for sharing the story of it's origin.
Qwa😊
1:08 和 1:24 眞噁心!
10/10
I remember this commercial and song and just sang it for my kids out of the blue as we are getting ready to visit in a few weeks. They asked “is that some kind of ad you’re singing” wow, that marketing department deserves a bonus for making a song that stayed in my head for 35 years. I probably saw the commercial 10 times at the most
Freddie and the Shades of Brass performed at Paul Smith's College, Paul Smith's NY one Friday night in the late 60's.
Freddie took Palasades Park , changed the park ... Why ?
Oh my… remember this god awful commercial 😆 that’s pretty bad if I call a commercial from 1986 “bad”
Sad what has happened to America
Jim Messina wore the same striped shirt so you know this dude is cool, just not as cool.
1986 , I was 13 years old and a western Pennsylvania boy . We were all in love with this Kennywood girl and knew every word to this song . Classic !!!!
I don't know who the blonde boy is but he's hot as hell! 🔥😈🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

ok but the college bound fund commercial is insane...
👍👍👍👍
My favorite rides in this video showed 2:04 Freak Out Pharaohs Fury The Claw/Spin Out
I had this on vhs
The air crew are the backbone of the team 🤍❤️🤍💙🤍
The video quality of this upload is outstanding. Thanks for detailing in the description how it was shot edited and then digitized.
I'm now 56 and was growing up during most of this. KDKA was the old peoples station and WTAE was for most younger families. I remember going to my grandma's house and it was weird having channel 2 news on.
Pre-9/11 stuff.💲🎢😎
Thank you for the in-depth behind-the-scenes info!
Everybody knows what it’s like when you go take a dump. Then you wipe and then you wipe and then you wipe. You think you’ve got everything and about halfway through the day the heat starts to get to your behind and the itching begins. And you feel like scooting your behind cheeks open across the carpet. At that moment you run to the bathroom, drop your drawers and re-wipe and you think how did I not get all of this feces. My suggestion is start wiping with the Brillo pad.
Take that dog to the vet. They’ll take their fingers and wipe out them glands.
Now one commercial says 94% we remove allergens. Then another commercial says 96% allergens removed. These people need to get their story straight. Again when I get the bill do I just pay 94% because they only did a 94% job. I’m thinking that’s what’s going to happen.
People just go to the local grocery store and rent you a carpet cleaner. Stop being lazy and do it yourself. Have you seen the people they sent to your house? I’m just saying you don’t know what they’re leaving with when they leave your house. Just keep your valuables put up.
I’m sorry but they’re going to have to do better than 96%. What happened to 100%. So when I get my bill I’m only gonna pay 96% of it.

Yes I did enjoy it Freddy Cannon I'm sure still also tours from time to time I can also think of Jimmy Clanton, Venus in Blue Jeans, Just a Dream and Go Jimmy Go. Again no too many more pioneers are left. Wow Freddie's play on "Palisades Park" which doesn't exist anymore.
With the loss of Bobby Rydell there's maybe a handful of the pioneers of rock n roll left. Frankie Avalon, Connie Francis, Chubby Checkers, Gary US Bond, Gary Lewis who still from time to time still tours. These are all that come to mind, you might think of others.
This is so good! These look brand new!
My favorite is at 0:56
If these band got major label contract, imagine... Would the only surviving Glam Rock band in Grunge era.
Some of these are hard to date. For example, I thought for sure the Lifestyles Condoms commercial was from 1990 to 1992 at the latest due to the aesthetic, fashion and the audio knock-off combination of INXS and house music. The funky guitar hits are straight from "What You Need", which came out in 1985 but the rhythm track was derived from 50% of the hit singles in the early 90s. But then it has a weblink (The World Wide Web!) at the end, which means it's of 1997 vintage, at minimum. Unless you filmed this in 1991 and then Ansell reused it and added the text later.
Glenn, what a great tribute to David, so sorry for your loss. Dut
Sorry for your loss, My Thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family.
this was really great ! I never knew Freddy Cannon did this for Kennywood Park.
